Smart Assistive Walking Cane for Elderly and Disabled Users
Project Type: Self-Initiated
Project Description
Globally, over 285 million people live with visual impairment, and in Saudi Arabia alone, around 700,000 individuals face daily mobility challenges. Traditional white canes rely only on tactile feedback and often fail to detect elevated or distant obstacles. Our project addresses this gap by developing a Smart Assistive Walking Cane that enhances obstacle awareness and improves safety during everyday navigation.
