Development of a Regenerative Turbochoke System for Autonomous Wellsite Power Generation in High-Pressure Gas Wells

Project Type: Self-Initiated

Project Description

The Regenerative Turbochoke System is an integrated multidisciplinary solution designed for autonomous wellsite power generation and pressure regulation in high-pressure gas wells. Conventional wellhead systems typically utilize purely dissipative choke valves that waste pressure energy. This project proposes a Concept configuration, integrating a turboexpander upstream of a choke valve to recover electrical energy while ensuring stable outlet pressure for production facilities.
