AI-Powered Oil Pipeline Leak Detection and Monitoring System

Project Description

This project shows that AI could be used to greatly improve the performance of leak detection methods. It can classify the leak severity while also sending quick notifications about the leak to different devices. However, leak localization, aside from theory, is much harder to achieve in real-life settings and requires a big yet accurate amounts of data, which requires arguably non-realistic budget for accurate sensors and time to train the AI model.
