Electrodynamic Self-Cleaning System for Solar Panels
Project Type: Self-Initiated
Project Description
This project presents a data-driven electrodynamic self-cleaning system for solar panels operating in dusty environments. The system integrates an energy-efficient cleaning mechanism based on electrodynamic screen (EDS) technology, in which three-phase high-voltage signals generate a traveling electric field to charge and transport dust particles off the panel surface without mechanical contact, along with a monitoring dashboard powered with LLM insights and an optimization model that determines condition-based cleaning thresholds to maximize power recovery while minimizing energy consumption. By replacing time-based cleaning with adaptive, data-driven decisions, the system improves efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of solar PV operations.
