Industrial Workers Evacuation System: Integrated Tracking, Alerting, and Mustering with AI-Driven Insights
Project Type: Self-Initiated
Project Description
In industrial environments such as refineries and construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers during emergencies remains a critical challenge. Traditional evacuation procedures depend on manual headcounts and visual supervision, which are slow, error-prone, and provide no reliable record of who has reached safety. SEMS (the Smart Evacuation Monitoring System) is an integrated worker-safety platform designed to address this gap. The system continuously tracks each worker's location, automatically detects falls or injuries, and confirms safe arrival at designated muster points. A live supervisor dashboard provides real-time visibility into the location and status of every worker, while AI-driven analytics generate post-incident insights and corrective actions. By unifying real-time tracking, fall detection, automated muster verification, and intelligent analytics into a single lightweight helmet-mounted device, SEMS accelerates emergency response, produces a verifiable evacuation record, and ultimately helps save lives in industrial settings.
