Term 241

MidMind Smart Pillbox

Project Type: Self-Initiated

Project Description

The increasing prevalence of medication non-adherence among the elderly, particularly those in nursing homes and hospitals, poses significant risks to their health and well-being. Factors such as visual impairments, cognitive decline, and the complexities of managing multiple medications (polypharmacy) exacerbate this issue, leading to missed doses, incorrect medication intake, and potential adverse health outcomes. Addressing these challenges requires an innovative solution to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication administration, ultimately enhancing the quality of care and patient outcomes.
